Vernon and Bobbie Fisher Charitable Fund
The Vernon and Bobbie Fisher Charitable Fund was created in 2007. This unique fund was created by the Fisher’s family in honor of Vernon and Bobbie’s 60th Wedding Anniversary as a tribute to them for their years of community service to Jackson County. This fund will work in conjunction with JCCF’s Community Action Grant Program to address the community’s critical needs by issuing grants in honor of the Fishers each year. The Fisher family established this fund to serve as a legacy to their parents. Family members include: Rob, Judy, Lexi, Alison, and Abby Fisher and Greg Shockley and Dee Fisher Shockley. “A community foundation is made up of funds established by the people of a community to serve the needs of the people of the community. There is no greater gift you can give someone than something that gives back to support their community forever. We hope this act of appreciation will encourage others to do similar things for the community,” commented Jane Winters, staff representative.
